Our world sure is a beautiful place. Replete with rich colors, stark contrasts and abundant graphic design, it never ceases to amaze me how much artistry can be found by simply stepping outside. Admittedly, unless you find yourself standing before an amazing vista such as the Grand Canyon at sunset, you sometimes have to know where to look, but I promise it’s there!
One of our greatest tragedies is that we often become so wrapped up in our daily lives that we fail to notice much of this beauty, missing out on such an extraordinary facet of life. Imagine how much happier we would be if we just took the time to really appreciate how strange and astonishing our seemingly mundane world really is!
And that’s basically where I come in... My mission is to capture scenes that many would initially consider underwhelming and to present them in a way that appears larger than life. I aim to offer an alternative take on reality, a window into the world as I see it, and in doing so, to ultimately provide a way for people to value and reconnect with the “simpler” things in life.
Speaking in more concrete terms, I specialize in landscape and architectural photography. That being said, I am always experimenting with new techniques and expanding my horizons.
Aside from taking pictures, I am working on finishing up my studies at UNC-Chapel Hill before attending medical school in the fall of 2015. I aspire to someday combine photography with medical mission work, both abroad and here at home.
Anyways, thanks for stopping by! I’m so glad that you’re here and I hope that you enjoy my photographs.
Cheers,
